Just Four Ingredients!

Chicken – Chicken breasts are easily cut into uniform pieces for this recipe, but if time is short, simply thaw out a bag of low carb frozen tenders or strips and use them instead.

Bacon – Go for low or no-sugar bacon to keep it low-carb. Apple, hickory, or any flavor will make this recipe different every time!

Seasonings – If you’re lucky enough to save bacon grease, you can melt that down and use it instead of oil for an extra smoky flavor. Any seasoning blend will do! A zesty homemade fajita seasoning, southwest seasoning, or garlic herb blend will punch up the flavor even more!

Variations – Stuff a slice of cheddar cheese, jalapeno, or sprinkle chopped green chilies between the bacon and chicken for a spicier bite! Swipe on your favorite BBQ, teriyaki, or sweet-and-sour sauce, or go for keto cheese sauce, keto Thousand Island dressing, or use this Dijon sauce.

How to Make Bacon-Wrapped Chicken

  1. Marinate chicken pieces (per recipe below).
  2. Wrap each piece of chicken with bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  3. Cook bacon-wrapped chicken in the oven.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Chicken tenders wrapped in smokey and savory bacon!

  • 1 ½ pounds chicken tenders about 9 pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted bacon grease
  • 2 teaspoons garlic herb seasoning or your favorite seasoning
  • 9 slices sugar-free bacon


  • Place olive oil and seasoning of choice in a zippered bag or bowl. Add the chicken tenders and shake/stir to coat.
  • Marinate chicken up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade. Wrap a bacon piece around each strip and tuck in the ends or secure with a toothpick.
  • Place wrapped chicken on a wire rack over a baking pan and bake 15-18 minutes, until chicken reaches 165℉. If desired, broil for 2-3 minutes for extra crispy bacon.


  • Refrigerate leftover tenders in a covered container for up to 4 days.
  • Make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator or freezer. Thaw before reheating.
