How Does the Keto Diet Work?
The keto diet is a low carb, high protein, and fat diet.
This essentially puts the body into a process known as ketosis, where the body burns stored fat for energy versus using carbohydrates.
The keto diet doesn’t prohibit the number of carbs one can consume, just limits them. Eating too many carbs during keto will cause the body to fall out of ketosis.
