Just 3 Ingredients

Chicken – Breasts, thighs, wings, and drumsticks can be used in this recipe! Or switch out the chicken and use shrimp or pork instead.

Oil – Olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, or even leftover bacon grease are keto-friendly and add fresh flavor to Cajun chicken.

Seasonings – Buy Cajun seasoning or make a homemade blend and adjust the flavors to create a signature seasoning mix.

Variations – Buy a jar of Alfredo sauce or make it from scratch for a one-skillet creamy Cajun chicken dinner that gets on the table fast.

How to Make Cajun Chicken

  1. Toss chicken breasts in the ingredients and bake until the chicken reaches 165°F.
  2. Rest the chicken for about 5 minutes before slicing (as per the recipe below).

Tips for the Best Chicken!

An instant-read thermometer is the best way to determine whether the chicken breasts are cooked to the proper temperature. Insert the probe in the thickest part of the meat for the most accurate results.

Serving and Storing Cajun Chicken

  • Make a whole meal deal by sharing oven space (and the Cajun spice!) with roasted asparagus, peppers, or mushrooms. Or add a tangy cucumber feta salad and dinner is served!
  • Keep leftover Cajun chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and fully chilled portions can be frozen in zippered bags for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat portions in the microwave or Air Fryer. Use leftovers (hot or cold) in wraps, sliced on a Caesar salad, or diced in a Denver omelet.
