Best Egg Salad Ingredients
EGGS – Hard boiled eggs are a great source of protein! The best eggs to use are free range or Omega-3 eggs, but any kind will do.
HAM – Make a baked ham for supper and use the leftovers in this delicious recipe. Or make a tasty crustless ham & cheese quiche
VEGGIES & SEASONINGS – Dill Pickles are chopped up and added to a creamy mixture of mayonnaise, mustard, salt & pepper, and sliced green onions for color.
Variations
- Experiment with flavors by adding Dijon mustard, prepared horseradish, or some spicy sriracha.
- Put a few Kalamata or green olives in the food processor and add to the mixture or use as a topping.
- Add a few bacon bits or switch them out for the ham entirely. Or use bacon bits as a garnish when the salad is spread into celery sticks or stuffed cherry tomatoes.
