How To Make Melt in Your Mouth Chicken

It doesn’t get much easier than this tasty recipe, just 3 simple steps, and dinner is ready:

  1. Mix all of the sauce ingredients together.
  2. Coat chicken with sauce mixture and bake in a prepared dish (as per the recipe below).
  3. Remove the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest about 10 minutes before serving.

Ingredients  

  • 4 chicken breasts about 1 pound
  • cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper or to taste

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a small bowl, blend together all ingredients with mayonnaise (except chicken)
  • Place chicken in baking dish and spread sauce mixture evenly over each piece.
  • Bake in preheated oven 40-45 minutes until golden brown (or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F)

    Absolutely delioucious!! Made it tonight for 3 of us and 2 of us don’t love chicken. It was delioucious, flavorful and perfect. Even son aten2 helpings. I used lemon pepper because I had it.     My husband and I are working on lowering our carbs in our meals. The challenge has been real with such a highly particular eater as my husband has been during this transition. This was an easy and great main course meal! To avoid heating our home with the oven in the heat of summer, we cooked this on the grill and in a cast-iron dish. So delicious! Thanks!!!

    Recently moved to a new house with a gas stove/broiler drawer. I am used to an electric stove. Is the chicken supposed to have a crispy topping? I baked it in the oven and the chicken came to the correct temperature, but the topping was on the color side of a bland color. So I stuck the chicken breasts in the broiler for a few minutes. No change in the color, so I put them in my Air Fryer Oven for 4 minutes. The topping color darkened after 4 minutes but never crisped up. I was afraid to overcook so we ate the chicken as is. It was very good, but I think it would have been better had the topping been crispy. Please advise.

    1. The topping isn’t intended to be crispy but helps make the chicken moist and flavorful! You can add crushed pork rinds in the last few minutes to help crisp it up! I am glad you enjoyed this chicken Ann!

      1. Look at the picture that came with the recipe. Looks very crispy to me. Even the directions say to bake til crispy. So I am confused. I would not want to serve pale chicken that looks half baked. How do you get t to look like the picture?

        1. To get it to look like it does in the picture we bake the chicken in a preheated oven 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Once the chicken is cooked if you feel like it is not browned enough you could also broil it for a few minutes to crisp the coating up. Watch it carefully so you don’t burn it though!

    Made this for dinner last night! It was AMAZING! My husband loved it as well!! This will be on rotation for SURE! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! The only difference I made was that I had smaller, thinner chicken breasts, and I “fried” them in my non-stick skillet with some butter! Served it with air fried green beans, cauliflower rice and (mac and cheese for the hubs)….. Total yum!! Thanks for such a quick but super delicious recipe!!
