Make These Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops Because…
- The chops in this recipe are cooked until they are juicy and tender.

- Did I mention that the BBQ sauce develops a caramelized exterior to the chops?
5 Ingredient Recipe
Pork Chops: Choose chops that are equal in size and thickness so they cook uniformly. Bone-in chops will work and so will tenderloin.
Bacon: Thin-sliced bacon works best in this recipe. Look for uncured or smoked bacon that doesn’t use added sugar in their curing process. Experiment with hickory, maple, or apple flavored bacon if desired.
Seasoning: Buy or make a homemade seasoning salt and you can adjust the ingredients the way you like. Go zesty and try a Southwest seasoning blend or a savory Italian flavor.
Sauce: Look for low or no-sugar BBQ sauces for this recipe and go for any flavor profile you like. To enhance the flavor of the bacon, omit the sauce and sprinkle a little brown sugar sweetener over the bacon in Step 5.
Variations: Versatile bacon-wrapped chops can be baked under any keto-friendly sauce like a a chimichurri, or a tangy Dijon sauce. Got chicken? Chicken can be prepared the same way.
How to Make Bacon-Wrapped Pork Chops
- Cook bacon in the oven (recipe below).
- Season chops and wrap each one with two slices of bacon.
- Place bacon-wrapped pork chops on a baking sheet and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Bake then broil. Let chops before serving.
Tips For Success
Cook the bacon on a rack but be sure not to overcook it as it needs to be soft enough to wrap around the pork chops. Save time by cooking and cooling bacon ahead so there’s no need to wait for it to be cool enough to handle.
Since pork is so lean, it can overcook easily. Use a meat thermometer halfway through cooking to gauge doneness and adjust cooking time. Pull chops from the oven at about 142°F and transfer them to a plate. They will continue to cook and reach 145°F for perfectly juicy and tender chops.
Leftovers
Keep leftover bacon-wrapped pork chops in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheat in the microwave, air fryer, or oven with extra BBQ sauce. Freeze cooled chops in a zippered bag for up to a month and thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
