Bark-Building Ingredients
- Greek Yogurt: Thick Greek style yogurt works best to keep all the tasty berries and nuts in place and will not melt as quickly as regular yogurt will. Try vanilla, strawberry, or lemon frozen yogurt, anything goes.
- Berries: Use berries fresh from a summer harvest. Or use frozen berries, no need to thaw.
- Nuts: Toast nuts in a dry saute pan before adding to the recipe. This makes them extra crunchy and intensifies their flavor.
- Sweetener: Use your favorite sugar-free sweetener like maple syrup, Lakanto (monk fruit syrup), keto powdered sugar, or Stevia drops.
Mix, Match & Make it Yours
- Experiment with fun flavor. Blackberries, strawberries, cherries, and slices of kiwi are great additions. Or combine them for added color, texture, and flavor.
- No berries? No problem! Swirl in some sugar-free, low-carb fruit jam or sauce.
- Add mashed avocado to the yogurt to increase the healthy fats without changing the flavor.
- Add a few drops of natural food coloring to make a festive yogurt bark. Orange for Halloween, pink for Spring, or green for Christmas.
- Go entirely sweetener-free and swap out the maple syrup for maple extract. A dash of cinnamon or lemon zest is a keto-friendly way to enhance flavor without sugar.
- If nut allergens are an issue, use sunflower, pumpkin, chia, or flax seeds instead. Other crunchy toppings to use are keto granola, keto cereal, or toasted coconut.

How to Make Yogurt Bark
