bacon
chopped, about 8 slices

onion
diced

pounds
green beans
washed and trimmed

cup
chicken broth

clove
garlic
minced

teaspoon
salt

pepper
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon and onions together until bacon is crisp, stirring often.
To a 6 quart slow cooker, add green beans, cooked bacon and onion (including bacon grease), chicken broth, garlic, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until green beans are tender.
Taste and season with additional salt and pepper as needed.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
