Ingredients
1
pound
bacon
1 ½
pounds
fresh Brussels sprouts
¼
cup
brown sugar substitute
like Swerve
Instructions
Heat the oven to 425°F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Rinse the Brussels sprouts, removing any discolored leaves. Cut sprouts larger than 1 inch in half.
Remove the bacon from the package without separating the slices and cut it into thirds.
Wrap a piece of bacon around each Brussels sprout and place them seam-side down on the baking sheet. Use a toothpick to secure the bacon if needed.
Sprinkle the brown sugar Swerve overtop of the bacon.
Bake for 22-27 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the Brussels sprouts are tender.
Notes
Use Brussel sprouts similar in size so they cook evenly. Larger sprouts can be cut in half vertically, through the stem.
Try baking on a rack so the bacon grease drains away from the Brussel sprouts.
If you do not have Swerve, use brown sugar sparingly. Or try a low carb or keto friendly syrup instead.
